FRANKIE GARCIA III
I am a self taught artist, originally from Southern California, but raised in the inner city of Dallas. I am a philanthropist, creative director, and arts advocate. Creating and designing environments for residential and commercial spaces that implement the local arts are a passion and specialty of mine. I'm excellent at balancing spaces, creating color pallets and developing concepts for large production events that require intricate installations. I'm currently working with several Dallas based artists who firmly believe in the importance of supporting and uniting the local arts so as to create awareness of how important they are to every community.

THE DALLAS INDEPENDENT ARTIST COMMUNITY is an umbrella organization dedicated to bringing unity within the Dallas arts as well as instilling purpose and vision into the work of the individual artist. The DIAC brings awareness to what is already taking place in our art community, everyday, within the various art collectives that already exist. Without seeking membership, the DIAC strives to be a community hub which serves as an earpiece and mouthpiece for the artists in Dallas as a whole. By providing education and guidance, pooling our collective resources, and stressing the need for community, the DIAC works to strengthen and empower the individual artists in OUR city.

I've participated in approximately 30 exhibitions in the past 12 years, including:
-2001 ONE RED DOT a Jackson Ivey Jackson production
-2004 ROOM WITH A VIEW a collaborative exhibition with Mikki Mallow and Bob Poe
-2005 Exhibited twelve works at the Nasher Sculpture Center.
-2007 YOUR ELEMENT a D Magazine partnered event
-2008 Directed The 20th Annual Obelisk Awards Gala for the NTBCA (North Texas Business for Culture and the Arts)
